Monday and Tuesday, no school due to storm Ophelia
Wednesday, in religion were were given a quote that someone that someone in poverty said. We then had to write a short story about it. Thursday, today we audition for the melody for the variety. Ms Coyle took us out of irish and got us to audition for the role of Chad. Friday, in music we got the results for the audition i unfortunately wasn't picked. In science we extracted DNA from plant cells. We did this by breaking down the cell was and membrane with salt and washing up liquid. We then blended it in a blender to break down the nucleus

On Monday, in P.E. we did the beep test. This is a test that tests your fitness. I managed to get 7 which is far better than I expected
On Tuesday, in art we made vases. We first made impressions on a slab of clay with leaves, fabric, etc. We then rolled them into a cylinder and glued it together with slip (a mixture of clay and water) We then pressed the bottom into a triangle to seal it. On Wednesday, We had talk by a man named Paddy from Saint Vincent De Paul On Thursday, in religion we watched a video about Team Hope and shoebox appeal. I and several other people were chosen to go around asking years if they wanted to do one. On Friday, Alan Devine came back to here speeches that we prepared. Monday, Today was a training day for teacher and as a result we had no school.
Tuesday, in art we made bowls from clay, We first covered a regular bowl in cling film. We then rolled pieces of clay into cylinders and then rolled those cylinders into spirals. We then kept pressing these spirals together in the bowel until the bowel was covered. After smoothing out Wednesday, in music, we began to learn how to play the ukulele. We learned chords C and F Thursday, on Thursday we a Public Speaking Workshop. Friday, in maths we started a logic problem called 'Einstein's Riddle' |
