Barcelona
Day 1 We met at the school at one o'clock and the bus departed for Dublin airport. We arrived at there about two and a half hours later and our plane then departed at six o'clock in the morning. We made our way to our bus and traveled to our first stop which was the CosmoCaixa Science Museum. In this museum we saw several interesting exhibits, my favorite of which was the amazon rain forest. In this we saw many fish only native to the amazon. After this we got a guided of Barcelona from our bus. We saw several works by Gaudí such as the Sagrada Família and the Casa Milà. We then made our way to the hotel to check in and we then had our dinner. After this we went bowling to finish off the night. My favorite part of this day was definitely the Sagrada Família. I was amazing see the different styles of architecture used due to the age of the building be blended together so well. Day 2 The first stop we made today was to the Gaudí museum, We saw how he designed his buildings and how he drew inspiration from nature. An example of this is how all the balconies are shaped like seaweed on the Casa Milà. After this we were allowed to wander around and go shopping for an hour. A this we went to the adventure park Portaventura. We went on several rides but my favorite was the Dorga Khan. We then went swimming in the sea right by our hotel and to finish out the night we went shopping around our hotel. My favorite part of the day was definitely swimming in the sea. I love swimming and i hadn't gotten the chance to swim in a warm sea in years. Day 3 After packing went we to see a roman amphitheater. i was amazed the architecture and imaging what it would have been like to see a gladiators fight and wondering what the original builders would have said if they thought their work would still be appreciated over two thousand years later. It was truly remarkable and a highlight of the trip. We then fished the trip with a shopping spree in a shopping center. We arrived home in portumna at 2am tired but very happy about our trip Refection The trip Barcelona was very tiring, but it was extremely fun. I loved every moment of it. My favourite bits of it was definitely seeing the roman amphitheater. I hope to return to Barcelona again and would recommend it to anybody. |
