Saint Vincent de Paul Talk
On the 11 of October Paddy, a member of Saint Vincent de Paul gave us a talk about homelessness in Ireland.
He started his talk by explaining how The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded by a young french man named Frédéric Ozanam in 1833. Paddy then went on to tell us some of his experiences when he was volunteering in other countries. He also showed us a very inspirational video of a man doing the Ironman challenge with his son who is severely disabled. I enjoyed this talk. I found the video and him talking about his experiences very inspirational and i would recommend it to future T.Y.s. |
